Empowering Towards Environmental Sustainability
Over 400 students pledge to educate, create awareness and volunteer for the cause of Sustainable Development Goals 13, 15 and 17.
Over 400 students in the Atwima Mponua District pledge to educate, create awareness and volunteer for the cause of Sustainable Development Goals 13 (Climate Action), Sustainable Development Goal 15 (Life on Land) and Sustainable Development Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals)
The students made this pledge during the Commemoration of International Day of Forests at At Atwima Mponua District (Anwiafutu D/A Basic School) by Resource Conservation Initiative on the 21st of March 2024.
The education and sensitisation programme, which was under the theme Forests and Innovatoins brought together Opinion Leaders from the community, a Representative of the Ghana Education Service, Assembly Member of the Anwiafutu Electoral Area, the Headmaster of the D/A Basic School, Students and Pupils, as well a Team from RESCONI.
The programme ended with a sensitization march within the community to show a committement to their pledge.
